Welcome to BCC's Vocational Preparatory Instruction (VPI) program. We are devoted to helping vocational students meet their goals. Whether it's the basic skills requirements in math, reading and language for the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) that have been established by the State of Florida for their program or achieving the necessary score on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS), VPI has resources to help.
VPI specialists are located in the Learning Labs on all four campuses, and in building 3 room 104 in Titusville. The VPI specialists assist students by consulting with them to develop a customized remediation plan. If passing the TABE is the goal, then when a student is ready, the VPI staff member can administer the TABE re-test. VPI specialists can also offer workshops/consultations on study skills, employability skills and test-taking skills.
NOTE: Most tutoring is done by appointment and schedules are subject to change. Students needing remediation and/or re-testing should call and set up an appointment. The staff schedules shown in the Contact Us box in the right column are for Spring 2013.
