When Brevard Community College becomes Eastern Florida State College on July 1, 2013 to reflect the addition of four-year bachelor's degrees, WBCC's call letters will change to WEFS. Our four-channel line up and programming schedule will remain the same. Plus you'll find us on the same over-the-air and cable channels that you do now. It's just one more part of our storied history.
Owned and operated by Brevard Community College, WBCC's four channels offer programming that educates, enlightens and inspires. WBCC is now an independent public television station following a highly successful partnership with the University of Central Florida that served as a 16-month bridge solution to keep PBS programming on the air in the region. UCF went on to purchase WMFE in Orlando and become the region's primary PBS affiliate, WUCF, in November 2012. WBCC relinquished its PBS membership in the transition, but continues to broadcast a wide range of programming to an audience that stretches throughout Central Florida. In addition to locally produced programming, we partner with leading public television program distributors American Public Television and the National Educational Telecommunications Association to bring our viewers entertainment with a difference.
On WBCC you'll find much-loved travel shows that transport you around the globe — including Globe Trekker, which takes viewers to unforgettable destinations through its stunning photography, rhythmic indigenous music and spirit of adventure. In keeping with their aim of "living as the locals do," charismatic hosts take turns exploring everything from big-city landmarks to exotic sights in remote villages.
We're thrilled to have the NASA Education Channel on our digital channel DT-3 — with science programming that's a perfect fit for our roots on Florida's Space Coast.

Keep up with national public affairs on programs such as Moyers & Company. Each Friday at 8 PM, veteran journalist Bill Moyers hosts compelling conversations with today's top thinkers about new ideas, crucial issues and workable solutions. Select episodes also feature Moyers' own meticulously researched essays on a variety of topics.
For more than two decades, Brevard Community College has operated a public broadcasting station to serve local residents and beyond.
